The Liberal Arts Fictional Institute of Narrative

Lafin (pronounced like the end in French) is a community scattered across the globe.

Our programs and initiatives represent the eclectic interests of our board members. The works we've archived here sketch a sampling—snapshots of our lives.

Lafin has experienced multiple incarnations, across as many generations. Although institutional memory can be fickle, and many of the old pathes have grown over, our histories continue to be excavated.

There are a number of ways to become involved.

At Lafin, we are curious.

We believe truths are generally humble, speaking to the small and the specific. However, we also embrace bold claims, larger than life, made of whole cloth, worlds softened with silk, feathers, dry leaves—spikes, and spider jaws of every size.

We support archival excavations of long forgotten Lafin projects, memories lost in the weeds, events slipped into the unconscious. We welcome fellow artists, researchers, and thinkers to join us in rebuilding Lafin's past and future.
